Job Summary
Assist providers with patient examinations, prepare patients for injections and nerve blocks, and obtain vital signs while documenting medical histories in the electronic medical record. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any changes in condition, and educate patients on post-procedure care and discharge instructions. Prepare, clean, and restock examination rooms while maintaining infection prevention standards and managing medical supply inventory. Travel to assigned healthcare facilities in outpatient pain management clinics and hospital settings, adapting quickly to new workflows. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Requires BLS certification, EMR experience, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to travel for temporary assignments
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist with patient transfers and positioning
- Manual dexterity to operate medical equipment and supplies
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous experience in a clinical, outpatient, or pain management setting
