Job Summary
Assess patients transferring from the operating room, monitor vital signs and recovery from anesthesia, and administer prescribed medications per approved techniques. Maintain patient comfort and safety while documenting assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records. Respond promptly to emergency situations using PACU nursing standards and collaborate with the surgical team for comprehensive post-operative care. Operate PACU-specific equipment including ventilators and infusion pumps. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a PACU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel
- Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp
