Job Summary
PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Lakewood, Colorado, responsible for post-anesthesia care, patient assessments, monitoring vital signs and recovery from anesthesia, administering prescribed medications, collaborating with the surgical team, developing and delivering discharge instructions, and ensuring smooth handoffs between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units. Requires critical thinking, strong interpersonal and English-language communication, ability to document and follow PACU protocols, operate PACU equipment (ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps), and provide patient and family education throughout the recovery period.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a PACU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
