Job Summary
The PACU RN provides specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery. Responsibilities include assessing recovery, implementing post-operative care plans, administering prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs and consciousness, documenting assessments and interventions, coordinating with the surgical team, ensuring safe discharge or transfer, and operating PACU equipment (e.g., ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps). Requires 1 year of PACU experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS; preferred certifications include PALS or ENPC. Travel assignment details highlight a 13-week contract in Pensacola, FL with comprehensive benefits and support.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a PACU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
