Travel PACU RN

The PACU RN provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery in a 7-week travel assignment in Austin. Responsibilities include assessing post-anesthesia recovery, implementing post-operative care plans, administering prescribed medications, coordinating with the surgical team, delivering discharge instructions, and ensuring patient safety during the recovery period. Essential duties encompass monitoring vital signs and consciousness, documenting assessments and interventions, responding to emergencies, operating PACU equipment (ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps), and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. The role requires critical thinking, strong interpersonal communication, English proficiency, and the ability to manage tasks and patient care across the recovery continuum.
