Job Summary

Travel Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting in Ellsworth, ME on a 13-week contract. Outpatient PT with adult and school-aged populations in a rural community; 5x8-hour shifts (flexible to 4x10s); 40 hours/week; no weekend rotation or on-call. Requires 1 year of outpatient experience, Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, Maine licensure (or compact), and current BLS. Duties include manual therapy, exercise science, patient education, and use of adaptive equipment; EMR: Cerner PowerChart. Travel assignment with a start around 06/08/2026, patient mix includes orthopedic, post-surgical, geriatric, work injury, and neurological cases; travel and housing benefits provided by employer. Facility includes a team of PTs, PTAs, OT/SLP staff, and a supervisor; orientation and onboarding process described; parking on-site; manager interviews required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy required
  • Active Maine PT license or compact license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience with manual therapy, exercise science, patient education, and adaptive equipment (walkers, canes, crutches, etc.)
  • Full SSN required for consideration
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
  • 2 professional references within the past year required, at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge role (peer references not accepted)
  • Copies of all certifications required for consideration
  • Flu vaccination required for clearance to start

Desired Qualifications
