Job Summary
Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Newton, KS. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document care, supervise therapy services, and participate in professional development and student training in an outpatient clinic. Adhere to state practice acts and facility policies while promoting patient and employee safety. Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts. Travel benefits include housing support and license reimbursement. This role requires a Kansas PT license and a Doctoral/Professional or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Kansas state Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy required, including evaluation, plan of care development, goal writing, and documentation in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
- Ability to complete clear, concise, and timely medical record documentation, including letters of medical necessity and charge entry
- Familiarity with safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety practices
- Willingness to participate in student supervision and contribute to clinical education
