Job Summary
Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for assigned procedures, maintaining the sterile field throughout the case and providing the surgeon with necessary items during surgery. Scrub on minor and major procedures across generalized surgical specialties, including GYN, general, plastics, ortho, neuro, ENT, and urology. Maintain a current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire. This per diem role in Redding, CA offers daily gross pay up to $1,120.00 with a reasonable estimate of $65.00 to $80.00. Candidates require a high school diploma or equivalent, an ORT training program graduate status, or three years of surgical setting experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred)
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics)
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.)
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum 1 year of OR Tech experience
