Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities include preparing the OR, assisting with patient positioning, maintaining a sterile field, anticipating needs of the surgical team, monitoring patient status, instrument handling and sterilization, specimen labeling and transport, documenting care, and ensuring handoffs. Requires critical thinking, strong communication, and proficiency in English; must read/write and follow verbal instructions; physical ability to handle equipment and move around the OR; adherence to infection control and safety protocols. Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR; other certifications may be required.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
