Job Summary
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready for each surgical procedure. Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team to maintain efficient workflow. Monitor the patient's condition during surgery, document significant changes, and handle specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to facility protocols. Document all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting accurately and participate in patient handoff communication during pre- and post-operative phases. Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with facility policies. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking

- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
