Job Summary
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure. Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery while maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures and adhering to infection control protocols. Monitor the patient's condition during surgery, document significant changes, and handle specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to facility protocols. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with policies and participate in patient handoff communication during pre- and post-operative phases. Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking

- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
