Job Summary
13-week travel Operating Room RN assignment in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The OR RN provides comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process, including preparing the operating room, managing surgical instruments, assisting in positioning patients, maintaining a sterile field, monitoring the patient during surgery, documenting care, participating in handoffs, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care. Essential duties include preparing instruments and supplies, ensuring sterility and infection control, anticipating team needs, documenting patient care, restocking the room between cases, and adhering to facility policies. Required skills include critical thinking, effective communication in English, and the ability to read and follow instructions, with physical and technical abilities to support perioperative procedures. Start date is for a 13-week contract with highly competitive pay and comprehensive benefits; licensure and CEU reimbursement are offered. Preferred certifications include ACLS, PALS, ENPC, CNOR. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications
- OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
