Job Summary
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure. Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures while adhering to infection control protocols. Monitor the patient's condition during surgery, document significant changes, and handle specimen collection and transport according to facility protocols. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with policies and standards, participate in patient handoff communication, and assist in cleaning and restocking between cases. This 13-week travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina, requires a skilled OR RN with one year of recent experience and a valid state license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
