Job Summary
Assess each patient's individual needs and collect relevant data, including temperature, blood pressure, and pain levels, per facility procedures. Perform physician-prescribed treatments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians while advocating for the patient. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments for patients suffering from serious conditions such as diabetes mellitus, electrolyte imbalances, renal failure, liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, sepsis, respiratory distress, or multi-system organ failure. This 3x12 night shift role supports the Intermediate Care Unit at the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate Care Unit RN (IMCU RN)
- Assess each patient's needs individually and collect relevant data, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pain levels, according to the facility's prescribed procedure
- Perform physician-prescribed treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians
- Act as an advocate for the patient
- Prepare equipment
- Assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients
- Shift: 3x12 Nights
