Job Summary
Oversee OR operations and nursing staff during assigned day and night shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations. Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments while supervising, coaching, and supporting staff development. Assist with performance management, HR activities, and monitor supplies, equipment, and department readiness. Coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions, rounding with patients and families to support a positive experience. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing standards. Address patient care concerns and escalate issues through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Sedation Monitoring certifications, plus one year of acute care nursing experience and one to two years of OR supervisory experience. 12-week assignment with up to $1,657–$2,297 gross weekly pay and $3/hour differential.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting
- E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and maintain current
