Job Summary
Oversee OR operations and nursing staff during assigned day and night shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations. Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments while supervising, coaching, and supporting staff development and performance. Assist with performance management and HR activities, monitor supplies and equipment readiness, and coordinate surgical services and patient flow. Rounds with patients and families to support care transitions, providing direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing standards. Requires current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Sedation Monitoring certifications, plus one year of acute care nursing experience with one to two years in surgical OR supervision. Assignment length is 12 weeks with pay up to $2,297 gross per week.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting
- E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting, required
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and maintain current
