Job Summary
Oversee OR operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations. Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments while supervising, coaching, and supporting staff development. Coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions, monitor supplies and equipment readiness, and round with patients to support a positive experience. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing standards and address care concerns through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and sedation monitoring competencies, plus one year of acute care experience with required surgical OR supervisory background. Available for 12-week days or nights in Lewiston, Maine.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting, required
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and maintain current
