Job Summary
Oversee OR operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations. Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments while supervising, coaching, and supporting staff development. Monitor supplies and equipment, coordinate surgical services and patient flow, and round with patients to support care transitions. Provide direct patient care as needed and address concerns by escalating issues through the appropriate chain of command. Assist with performance management and HR-related activities. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Sedation Monitoring certifications, plus one year of acute care experience and one to two years of OR supervisory experience. Available for 12-week assignments in Lewiston, Maine.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting
- E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting, required
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and maintain current
