Job Summary
Oversee OR operations, nursing staff, and daily assignments while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Manage staffing, scheduling, and department readiness; supervise, coach, and support staff development and performance. Assist with performance management and HR activities, coordinate surgical services and patient flow, and round with patients to support care transitions. Provide direct patient care as needed and address concerns by escalating issues through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Sedation Monitoring certifications, plus one year of acute care nursing experience with one to two years in surgical OR supervision. Available for 12-week days or nights shifts in Lewiston, Maine.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting
- E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting, required
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and maintain current
