Job Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to cancer patients in hospital and clinical settings by administering prescribed medications, preparing oncology-specific equipment, and monitoring side effects. Educate patients and families about treatment regimens and self-care strategies while assessing and documenting patient conditions and responses. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care, respond to life-saving situations, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain detailed medical records and adhere to infection control guidelines. This 13-week travel assignment in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts requires one year of recent oncology experience and valid RN licensure. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an Oncology RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
