Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients develop skills necessary for independent daily living. Evaluate patient needs, diagnose functional limitations, and design individualized treatment plans tailored to unique goals. Deliver hands-on therapy using adaptive techniques and specialized equipment to improve functional abilities in daily and work-related tasks. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to optimize independence in activities of daily living. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care, track progress through regular evaluations, and modify treatment plans as needed. Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines while engaging in quality assurance initiatives and professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to move about
  • Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
  • Must be able to push
  • Must be able to pull
  • Must be able to bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
  • Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp
  • Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
  • Must have the ability to push/pull
  • Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
  • Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
  • Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally
  • Must be able to maintain continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity
  • Must be able to effectively communicate
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Proficiency in PC skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or higher of Occupational Therapy
  • OTR Certification (NBCOT)
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant experience
