Job Summary
Travel Occupational Therapist needed for a 13-week assignment at a hospital in Asheville, NC. 40 hours per week, day shift (0630-1600). Requires OT degree (BS/MS/PhD) and NC OT license; BLS preferred. Prior experience in acute care inpatient settings with ADL retraining, splinting, and discharge planning; comfort with evaluative modalities and EMR documentation. Includes 100% paid housing, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits; travel contract options include direct hire, temp-to-hire, and travel arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active North Carolina OT license required to start the assignment
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
- Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred
- Must be comfortable treating adult medical-surgical, stroke, trauma, and post-operative patients
- Demonstrated competency with evaluations, ADL retraining, splinting, and therapeutic modalities appropriate to inpatient hospital care
- Experience working with assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and discharge planning in a hospital setting preferred
- Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical record systems used in hospital settings preferred
