Job Summary
The Outpatient Hand Therapist evaluates patients and develops/implements treatment plans to progress toward discharge, supervising and coordinating therapy services, educating patients and families, and maintaining licensure and certification. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient evaluation, documentation, participation in student programs, ongoing professional development, adherence to state practice acts, and contributing to organizational performance improvement. Requires a PT degree, hand experience for splints, and active state licensure; CPR certification is required; CHT preferred. Employment is a travel contract 13 weeks, 36 hours/week, with a schedule including 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
- Current CPR certification
- Active and applicable licensure for the state in which the work will be performed
- 6 months to 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred
