Job Summary
Acute Registered Nurse provides acute dialysis care in a hospital setting, supervising Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses. Responsibilities include administering medications, patient education and follow-up, ensuring accurate treatment data, inventory management, infection control, setting up dialysis machines, and coordinating handoffs with hospital staff. Requires current RN license, CPR, color screening, English proficiency, basic computer skills, and adherence to state/facility policies. Travel/contract role with benefits for full-time and part-time staff. Location: Phoenix, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state or compact
- 12 months or more nursing experience preferred
- CPR certification required with hospital approved program
- Ability to pass color screening
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- Ability to meet minimum hospital/agency hiring standards which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements if applicable to the program assigned to for employment
Desired Qualifications
- 12 months or more nursing experience preferred
- Previous dialysis nursing experience preferred
- CPR certification
- Ability to pass color screening
- Proficiency with USRC clinical applications
- English language proficiency (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills
