Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the Emergency Department scope of practice. Provide education tailored to patient needs, transcribe orders, and implement protocols while coordinating the healthcare team and delegating tasks to ancillary personnel. Deliver timely urgent care in a fast-paced environment by adhering to all required certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and QPR training. Complete procedural sedation modules within six months of hire and maintain annual CEUs. This 13-week assignment in Laramie, Wyoming, offers rotating 12-hour shifts with private housing or generous allowance, comprehensive health insurance, and competitive pay.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Wyoming
- certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- de-escalation program certification
- successful completion of procedural sedation module within six months of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification within six months of hire
- QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training within one year of hire
Desired Qualifications
- previous clinical nurse experience
- ENPC (Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course) or ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) certification
