Job Summary
Provide nursing care in Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing Program for remote northern communities in Nunavut. Lead health promotion activities (well-baby and well-mom programs, immunizations, community wellness), plan and deliver education campaigns (e.g., flu shot awareness), and collaborate in a team-based environment with an expanded scope of practice. Apply advanced nursing skills in observation, assessment, diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching, aligned with individualized care plans to ensure emotional, spiritual, and physical safety of clients. Emphasize comprehensive, culturally safe community health, continuous learning, orientation/training, and support from a dedicated team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Nursing license through the governing body in good standing
- Have or be willing to obtain a nursing license through the provinces/territories you wish to work
- Meets the required work experience (as discussed during interview)
