Job Summary
Float Clinician (Travel Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) based in Fruitridge, CA, traveling to affiliate health centers within the region. Provides comprehensive reproductive health care including contraceptive methods (self-administered options and injections), STI and genitourinary care, pregnancy-related services such as medication abortion when indicated, and gender-affirming hormone therapy. Performs pelvic and breast exams, Pap smears, lab testing with timely follow-up, and urgent care management; supports staff training and center productivity. Works within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting, with pay at $67-71 per hour plus travel differential ($3-6/hour) and opportunities for additional compensation during travel. Requires CA licensure, NP/PA credentialing, CPR/BLS, and a strong commitment to respectful, inclusive patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program; WHNP or CNM acceptable,
- Current, unrestricted license to practice in California
- Board Certification in respective scope (NP/PA)
- CPR/BLS certification (current or within 30 days of hire)
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to thrive in a team-based environment
- Experience in reproductive health, OB/GYN, gender-affirming care, or family planning (preferred)
