Job Summary
Travel Nurse Practitioner role for Leidos QTC Health Services seeking a Nurse Practitioner in New York with nationwide travel (approx. 70%) to conduct general medicine, occupational, and disability health exams for veterans and service members. Exams may occur in-clinic, at the examinee's home, telehealth, or at large event sites; telehealth and remote administrative duties comprise about 30% when not traveling. Comprehensive onboarding, coverage of licensing/malpractice/CME costs, and up to 30% annual bonus. Primary duties include physical exams, pre/post-employment and annual occupational health exams, review of diagnostic studies, and creation of written medical opinions (IMO/DBQs). Requires MSN, active licensure (ANCC/AANP), ability to obtain DEA, and valid BLS/ACLS; Remote work available when not traveling and telehealth responsibilities. Located within 50 miles of a major US airport or willing to travel nationwide; must meet government clearances as required.
Required Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited college or university
- Current National Licensing w/ ANCC or AANP
- Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice in the state of hire
- Ability to obtain DEA license
- Valid BLS OR ACLS certification
- Ability to earn and maintain clinical training/certifications as required by current and future contracts
- Must possess current REAL ID-compliant identification or equivalent TSA approved identification prior to start date
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, etc.) as required
- Ability to pass a medical clearance consisting of passing an N95 respirator fit test, properly wearing organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required, passing a Tuberculosis/TB test, and receiving a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or passing a Hepatitis A/B Titer test and other medical clearances/vaccinations as required
- Minimum 3 years of post-graduate primary care / internal medicine experience
- Unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of hire
- Med-Cedence of telehealth capability and travel readiness for 70% travel
- Experience with disability health evaluations and occupational health exams (preferred)
