Job Summary
Travel Nurse - Nurse Practitioner opportunity in Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing Program. Provide expanded-scope primary and emergency care in remote northern communities (Nunavut and Alberta) within clinic settings and nursing stations. Work collaboratively in a team-based environment delivering care from newborns to elders, with duties including observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, health teaching, and care planning guided by Best Practice Clinical Guidelines. Lead health promotion initiatives, perform immunizations, infection prevention and control, and management of communicable diseases. Travel assignments are fully supported with orientation and ongoing professional development, and compensation includes hourly pay with a Northern Allowance. Requires a nursing degree and licensure in good standing, with willingness to obtain provincial licenses as needed. Immunization and provincial vaccination requirements may apply per regional regulations. Ideal for experienced nurses seeking a temporary, field-based role in Indigenous community health across Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Nursing license through the governing body in good standing
- Licensed Nurse registered in good standing
- Willing to obtain nursing license through the provinces/territories you wish to work
- Meets required work experience (as specified during interview)
