Job Summary
Assess resident health, monitor for changes, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with families and the care team. Provide skilled treatments including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management while supervising LPNs and CNAs. Educate residents and families on medications and chronic conditions, document progress, and respond quickly to emergencies by coordinating with physicians and medical teams. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control guidelines while working under pressure. Requires one year of recent LTC RN experience, a valid state license, and the ability to work nights in Waukon, Iowa for a 12-week assignment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Other certifications may be required depending on facility requirements
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
