Job Summary
Provide primary and emergency care in remote northern Canadian communities as part of Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing Program. Work in a nursing station/Health Center delivering care to residents from newborns to elders, with an expanded scope of practice, including observation, assessment, nursing diagnoses, counseling, and health teaching according to care plans. Emphasizes health promotion, IPAC, immunizations, and immunization planning, under Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines; travel nursing with flexible schedules and 24/7 support. Nursing role requires a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with active licensure in good standing and eligibility/intent to obtain licensure in applicable provinces/territories; provincial vaccination requirements may apply per regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Nursing license through governing body in good standing
- Licensed Nurse registered in good standing
- Willing to obtain nursing license in the provinces/territories where you work
- Meets required work experience
- Mandatory skillsets and additional training to be discussed during interview
