Job Summary

Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications, educate them on the procedure, and start I.V.s to administer contrast media as ordered. Operate magnetic resonance imaging scanners to produce high-quality 3D images, monitor image quality during procedures, and adjust scanning parameters for optimal diagnostic results. Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, document all procedure details, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure timely delivery of results while adhering to infection control and radiation safety protocols. This 13-week travel assignment in Phoenix, Arizona, offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for a skilled MRI Technologist with one year of experience and a valid state license.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Radiology program of study with specialization and training in MRI
  • One years' experience as an MRI Tech
  • Valid Radiology/MRI license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

Desired Qualifications

  • Current ARRT or equivalent certification
  • Current ARMRIT or equivalent certification
