Travel MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality 3D images used in medical diagnosis. They interact directly with patients and administer intravenous injections of contrast dye as needed, collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnostic results. Responsibilities include screening patients for MRI safety, educating patients about the procedure, maintaining and troubleshooting MRI equipment, starting IVs and administering contrast per orders, monitoring image quality and adjusting scanning parameters, documenting procedure details, and adhering to infection control and radiation safety protocols while providing patient-centered care. Strong critical thinking, communication, and PC skills are required, with the ability to work with a diverse team and manage a dynamic imaging environment.
