Job Summary
MedSurg RNs provide bedside care for a variety of patients and execute individualized patient assessments to create an individualized plan of care. MedSurg RNs prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients. MedSurg RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications; initiate action when adverse symptoms occur; change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
Required Qualifications
- RN license/registration in New Jersey
- MedSurg nursing experience preferred
- BLS/ACLS as applicable to position
- ability to administer medications and start IVs
- competency in dressings and catheterization
