Job Summary
Travel Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Wilmington, NC. 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift (3x12) with every other weekend required. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, administering medications including chemotherapy as needed, administering biotherapy therapies and blood products, wound care, isolation precautions, management of surgical drains and tubes, coordinating patient care with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate records, and effective communication with the healthcare team and patients.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical inpatient setting is required.
- Oncology Certification is mandatory.
- Current RN license (NC or Compact) is required at the time of start.
- BLS certification is required.
- Experience with accessing ports, central line blood draws, and peripheral line management is essential.
