Job Summary

Travel Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and medical oversight across multiple skilled nursing and long-term care facilities within an assigned region. Travel to SNFs and LTACs to provide medical leadership, mentorship to attending physicians, NPs, and PAs, promote evidence-based practice, chair or co-chair QAPI meetings, assist with regulatory survey preparedness and compliance, collaborate with facility leadership on clinical and operational improvements, support provider recruitment and credentialing processes, review clinical outcomes and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement, lead the implementation of new clinical programs and care-management initiatives, and provide direct patient care as needed to support continuity of care. Requires MD or DO, Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty, active/unrestricted license (multi-state licensure as applicable), and willingness/ability to travel frequently within the region. Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty
  • Active and unrestricted medical license (or willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states, if applicable)
  • Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification preferred
  • Extensive experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care settings
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a Medical Director or similar clinical leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, quality improvement programs, and long-term care compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and teams
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
