Job Summary

Escort patients to exam rooms, perform vitals, blood draws, and injections, and administer medications per provider orders. Manage front desk operations including scheduling, check-ins, and medical record documentation while processing test results. Collaborate with care teams to develop patient care plans and maintain clinical supplies. This float role requires travel across Van Wert, St. Henry, and Defiance locations, with availability to cover shifts for absent teammates at a moment's notice. Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience and BLS certification required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
  • Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
  • MA certification or registration
  • CPR/BLS certification

Desired Qualifications

  • National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Versatility and adaptability
  • Ability to remain flexible schedule
  • Ability to cover shifts for absent teammate members as well as position vacancies, at a moment's notice

  • Experience acting as a Medical Receptionist
  • Experience assuming clinical responsibilities of a Medical Assistant
  • Experience overseeing the full spectrum of the patient experience
  • Experience reviewing previous medical information
  • Experience gathering updated health information from the patient
  • Experience taking vitals
  • Experience performing blood draws
  • Experience giving injections
  • Experience bandaging wounds
  • Experience assisting with procedures
  • Experience working with contracted labs for additional tests
  • Experience preparing and administering approved medications and immunizations
  • Experience partnering with other members of the care team to develop individual patient plan of care
  • Experience identifying and working to address gaps in care
  • Experience with patient scheduling
  • Experience with medical record requests and abstraction
  • Experience with documentation
  • Experience coordinating specialist visits, referrals, and other care outside of the clinic
  • Experience with check-in and check-out
  • Experience recording accurate and pertinent data in the medical record
  • Experience processing test results
  • Experience providing the patient with timely results via e-message, mail or phone
  • Experience participating in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible patient groups
  • Experience maintaining clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments
  • Experience working at various locations within the state and/or region
  • Experience working within the same state, or in multiple states
