Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive medical-surgical and telemetry care, including assessing patient conditions, monitoring cardiac data, administering medications, and preparing patients for diagnostic procedures. Document vital signs, treatments, and care outcomes in medical records while collaborating with physicians, therapists, and social workers to implement individualized care plans. Manage multiple patients efficiently based on acuity, ensure strict infection control practices, and facilitate discharge planning with families and external resources. Maintain a safe environment for patients recovering from medical or surgical conditions while advocating for their needs and preferences.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
