Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive medical-surgical and telemetry care, administering medications, monitoring cardiac data, and performing daily patient assessments. Explain procedures to patients and families, prepare individuals for diagnostic testing, and document vital signs and care outcomes in medical records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized care plans, manage multiple patients by acuity, and facilitate discharge planning. Maintain strict infection control protocols and advocate for patient preferences throughout the 13-week assignment in Iron River, Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
