Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions, administer prescribed medications, and monitor cardiac telemetry data in medical-surgical and telemetry units. Explain procedures to patients and families, prepare individuals for diagnostic procedures, and facilitate discharge planning while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans. Maintain accurate documentation of vital signs, treatments, and outcomes, ensuring strict adherence to infection control practices and hospital safety protocols. Manage multiple patients efficiently based on acuity, advocate for patient preferences, and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
