Job Summary
Travel Med Surg RN responsible for delivering comprehensive patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. This role requires assessing patient health conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry data, administering prescribed medications and treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to manage diverse patient needs. The nurse will conduct comprehensive assessments, prepare patients for procedures, document information, and assist with discharge planning while maintaining infection control practices and regulatory standards. Strong clinical skills in med-surg and telemetry nursing, critical thinking, and effective communication are essential for delivering safe, high-quality care across multiple patients on a 13-week travel assignment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
- Able to administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
