Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions, monitor cardiac telemetry data, administer prescribed medications, and prepare patients for diagnostic procedures. Document vital signs, care outcomes, and treatment responses in medical records while collaborating with physicians, therapists, and social workers to implement individualized care plans. Manage multiple patients efficiently based on acuity, ensure strict infection control practices, and facilitate discharge planning to coordinate smooth transitions from hospital to home. Maintain a safe environment for patients recovering from medical or surgical procedures while advocating for their needs and preferences.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
