Job Summary
Assess resident health, monitor for changes, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the patient care team. Administer medications and treatments safely, including wound care and IV therapy, while observing for adverse reactions. Supervise LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring quality care standards are met. Educate residents and families on medications and chronic condition management, and document all care and progress in a timely manner. Respond quickly to emergencies, coordinate with physicians and therapists, and adhere to facility safety and infection control protocols. This 8-week travel assignment in Parkersburg, West Virginia offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and first-day insurance coverage.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
