Job Summary
Assess resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure well-being. Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the care team. Administer medications and treatments safely, including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management. Supervise LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately and ensuring quality care. Educate residents and families on medications and chronic condition management. Document care provided and resident progress timely. Respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate with medical teams. Adhere to facility safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
