Job Summary
Assess patient or resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure their well-being. Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the patient care team. Administer medications and treatments safely, including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management. Supervise LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately and ensuring residents receive quality care. Educate residents and families on medications and chronic condition management. Document care provided and resident progress in a timely manner. Respond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams. Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Complete an 8-week travel assignment in Rockland, Maine.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
