Job Summary
Conduct skilled nursing care for residents in a long-term care facility, including assessing health, administering medications, and performing wound care and IV therapy. Develop personalized care plans, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and educate residents and families on treatments and chronic condition management. Document progress, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to ensure coordinated care while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This 13-week travel assignment in Canistota, South Dakota requires one year of recent LTC experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
- Critical thinking

- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
