Job Summary
Assess resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure well-being. Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the patient care team. Administer medications and treatments safely, including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management. Supervise LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately and ensuring quality care. Educate residents and families on medications and chronic condition management. Document care provided, resident progress, and health changes in a timely manner. Respond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams. Work closely with physicians and therapists to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
