Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents under RN direction, administering medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring health status and reporting changes. Perform nursing assessments, document findings accurately, and assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote resident dignity, comfort, and independence. Maintain accurate medical documentation and work assigned shifts including weekends and holidays. This 3 to 6-month renewable full-time contract includes housing and meal stipends, with immediate start dates available for travel LPNs seeking a change of scenery in Mitchell, SD.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Ability to obtain South Dakota LPN licensure by endorsement (if licensed in another state)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
