Job Summary
Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 14-week long-term care assignment in Waterloo, NY. Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care for residents under the supervision of an RN in a geriatric/adult resident-care setting. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to collect ongoing resident data, develop and implement age-appropriate care plans, reassess as outcomes are evaluated, and initiate referrals as needed. Maintains safety and infection control practices, mentors and orients other staff, and stays current with professional knowledge through continuing education and in-service activities. Requires active NY LPN licensure, BLS, and previous long-term care experience; evenings shift and full-shift orientation beginning on a Tuesday or Thursday. Training support and ongoing recruiter assignment support are provided for the travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York LPN license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or RQI)
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience, preferably in long-term care
- Experience providing care to geriatric residents
- Ability to work evenings and participate in rotating shifts (D/E/N/W as applicable)
- Demonstrated ability to function under supervision of an RN and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Must be able to begin full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday
