Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical staff, responding to physical and behavioral health needs across various Maryland facilities. Work the night shift with each assignment restricted to a single location, requiring an active Maryland LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Must reside within 90 miles of the facility and hold at least one year of LPN experience in a hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting. This full-time role is part of the Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover, MD, supporting the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland
- Must live 90 miles from facility
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
- Corrections experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
